making a 10 man double elimination tournament

I'm having a tournament at my house today, we had 8 and that would be easy but 2 more kids are coming now. How can i make a fair double elimination with 10 people where everybody is really only playing as 1 spot and isn't getting a ton of byes?

Byes I think are the only way. They are random so i guess its cool? I'm not sure I've never set up a tourney before, I'm sure one of the blues here can help you.
