Make PM portable without taking your Wii anywhere?

I'm not sure if this is the right board to post this, if not I guess a mod can move it to General Discussion when they have time.

I'm planning on going to a convention in August and I'm sure there will be Wiis there. Is there a way to have everything on one SD card to ensure that I'm able to play Project M no matter what Wii I'm using? Can I do that with a USB loader? (I've never used one before.) Would I need to keep the Homebrew channel and Project M on seperate storage devices?

If you are using homebrew then you will probably want to play it safe and use 2 seperate sd cards. I would advise getting the hackless full set. Don't bother with homebrew. It's much easier than setting up the homebrew on different wii's. Save yourself the hassle. I don't judge. MLP is a show some like, just not one I would watch.

you'd need a wii with homebrew on it to use homebrew. or you'd have to install homewbrew on someone elses wii.

Take your wii, or take the hackless version.

Thanks guys, I'll get used to hackless. I play on the wiimifi servers a lot and that's why I mainly use Homebrew. The hackless version still launches from the stage creator right?

yeah and you can still use wiimmfi with hackless... though you should have the full version installed when you bring it places...

Oh I didn't know that. I think I followed a guide for setup that was outdated.

what guide was this?.. no outdated PM guide should have info on the wiimmfi thing cause that was recently added...

I thought one didn't have stuff like c-stick buffer and light trigger press available to it though.

This one. It might just be hard to follow and not necessarily outdated, I know I had to do an extra step they didn't mention before I could get it to work.

So...I got the Homebrew Wifi-safe version from the official site and now I can't play online anymore.
You did this to me, you fix it
Lol sorry...I'm probably just forgetting something but the whole process is eluding me right now. Could you give me a "short version" step by step or something from scratch? I already have the Homebrew Channel so you can leave that out. I just want to know what I'm doing wrong.
Someone really should make an official guide for 3.5 online play.
I'm super stupid and named my SD Card "Project M" and this is the reason it would not play. Sorry for that XD
