Hello all, my name is Andy Dumornay AKA PIE Citiofbrass. I started playing competitively in 2002 where capcom vs snk2 was the first time I got introduced to the FGC and fell in love ever since. I've been a Tournament Organizer since 2009 for the fighting game community and I later co founded and created a team called Professional Instigators Entertainment (PIE).
I figured that I would do the normal *post my event everywhere because my event is near*. However, since I see you guys have a meet and greet forum, why not give myself a proper introduction and possibly get some input at the same time? I created an Annual Event in NYC called Defend The North (DTN) in 2014. In 2016 I was Forced to relocate the event in White Plains due to the size of venues in nyc not measuring up with the price.
1. In 2016, the smash 4 community well received DTN. However, I wasn't aware of the interest Smash 4 would have so it was placed in the break out room. before I post this event here, I would like to know if you guys prefer to be in break out room or you guys dont mind being in the main ball room with all the other fighting games? I only ask because this is what I usually see all the time and I thought it was common practice. I might be making a poll as well so if you would like to Vote instead of giving your opinion, the twitter is @defendthenorth
2. what is more important to you? Top players being at the event or a pot bonus? I ask this because if a T.O. like myself puts money aside for a particular game, i would like to know what that money should be spent on?
