One of my favorite games for any platform is Ogre Battle 64: Person of Lordly Caliber.

And whose the main character of that you ask. MAGNUS!! He's basically just another sword wielding fellows but if Marth and Roy get a spot in anything, he should too, hell he's way cooler then either of those two. He has his sword attacks as well as many others, such as fire or lightning attacks.

I'm too lazy to get in depth with this right now and go through all his moves but who else would enjoy to see this guy in there?? I would!!

I loved the Ogre battle games. They had their problems (mostly getting really monotonous late game) but were pretty cool.

That being said, I never really cared for the characters. I classify Magnus with other characters like Crono: Extremely generic heroes that happen to come from really good games.

On a side note, I always thought there had to be a better translation of the subtitle than "Person of Lordly Caliber."

I agree with you to a point. He is somewhat generic seeing as you can even change his name and even though it doesn't seem like a lot it says a lot. Someone who would be a cool addition also from Ogre Battle 64 would be Jeal. The huge scythe wielding guy.

I loved Ogre battle 64. I beat it twice to see the good ending and the bad one. For brawl though, I just don't think its going to happen. As was mentioned, Magnus, just seems to generic. He doesn't really have any personality behind him, also not helped by the fact that he was for the most part, completely customizable to the player, who could name him whatever they want, and change his gear around, so he doesn't have any iconic weapons, armor, or items either.

acutally, I dunno how many people who played the game actually remember that the guy's name is Magnus. Its probably more like, "oh, that hero guy that you play as"

Yeah I have to agree with your guys points here. I didn't think it through well enough before posting as you can tell by the short post with no detail. Either way my love for Ogre Battle will never die!! haha

Yeah, I'm hoping for an Ogre Battle on the new gen of consoles. The only thing I'm aware of that's even remotely close is the Disciples series for PC.
