I was hoping someone could test this for me. I'm not good at B sticking the magnet yet, but was wondering if you could air stop with the psi magnet to reduce your blast off momentum.

If you look at the physics behind it, it should be possible. while you're being blasted, b stick the magnet in the opposite direction. Can this even work???

Just ask!
Theoretically, if you cannot fully recover from your stun animation (in time), Magnet stopping is out of the equation.
Earthbound360, could you please test out various directions for us as well?

Sorry, doesn't work. I tested it with Deku nuts (Bob-ombs kill way too early).

I short hopped, threw a deku nut down so it hit me, then tried what you suggested.
In order for you to b-stick in the way you want to go, you must DI the opposite way.
So I blew myself up. and DIed to the left which was the way I was sent after the explosion. I then tried B-sticking a PIS magnet, and do you know what happened?

Well, I couldnt b-stick at all during the hitstun. It makes you double jump. You can B-stick after the hitstun, but then your DI will push you further than if you had not attempted this in the first place.

Sorry, it wont work. Basically, B-sticking PSI magnet during hitstun makes you double jump.

By the time you airdodge, wouldnt the hitstun wear off anyways and you could just double jump?

Not necessarily, depending on the attack. For example, a D3 fsmash. A Toon Link can easily survive it at 100%+ by ASDI and DI downwards, airdodge, and grapple onto the ledge. Airdodging hitstun lets you use specials before you usually would.
