But this one will be awesome too.
Smash Club at UAB Presents:
Magic City Smash 7
The seventh iteration of UAB's bi-weekly tournament series.

https://www.facebook.com/events/1497930830232755/

***There will be a venue fee of 5 dollars***
Venue fee can be waived with a set up.

Awesome news!!!
We are raffling off a custom controller at this next tournament. If you win, you choose what you would like the controller to look like. Raffle tickets are a dollar a piece. You may buy as many tickets as you want. Raffle will close and be drawn at 5. Please bring 1's if you plan on buying raffle tickets.
If at least 30 tickets are not purchased, raffle money will be refunded. Sorry, custom controllers cost money though.

This tournament will take place on Sunday, August 21st in the Ballroom of UAB's Hill University Center. The address is 1400 University Blvd, Birmingham, AL. The Ballroom is on the 3rd floor.

Parking:
There should be parking on the streets. Since it is a Sunday, you do not have to pay the meter. There is a small parking lot beside the university center but it will probably fill up rather quickly. There are plenty of metered spots on the street around the building as well.

Payout:
1st- 60%
2nd- 30%
3rd- 10%
IF MORE THAN 64 ENTRANTS: 1st- 58% 2nd- 28% 3rd- 9% 4th- 5%
Doubles will be 1st and 2nd if less than 8 teams and 1st, 2nd, and 3rd if 8 teams or more.

We will host Smash 4 Melee, PM, and Pokken! Double Elimination tournaments.

This event will be streamed at:
https://www.twitch.tv/bham_smash (Smash 4)
https://www.twitch.tv/super_smash_club (Melee)

Schedule:
[All times are subject to change]
1:00-Venue Opens
1:30- Smash 4 Doubles
2:00- Melee Singles
4:30- Smash 4 Singles (will start on time)
5:00- Project M Singles
5:30- Pokken
9:00- Venue Closes

Pokken Tournament will have a 32 person cap. Please bring a set-up if you have one.

Entry fee is 5 dollars per person for each event.

**There will be a 5$ venue fee at this tournament!**

We want to assure you that all money gained from venue fees will be put back into the series. This can range from, but is not limited to, providing free food and/or drinks in the future to tournament goers, better streaming equipment, or pot bonuses for bigger events.

This venue fee will be waived if you bring a full setup for either Melee Smash 4 PM or Pokken! (TV, game, gamecube adapter for smash 4, and console). Everyone will be subject to this fee including the tournament organizers. We do not take charging a venue fee lightly and want to be crystal clear with where the money is going.

Melee Doubles will not be a registered event but if we want to have another small tournament like last time, I can make that happen easy. Just express interest during singles so I can get a rough idea.

Currently there is no rule against crossover entry from Sm4sh to PM to Pokken, but depending on time constraints or number of entrants, the tournament organizers reserve the right to prohibit crossover if it could potentially interfere with the speed at which the tournament is ran.
