I've looked around this forum and found nothing on this... and I didn't see it on the LUIGI videos on youtube, so here goes...

Basically, I use this technique to get around the stages quickly.
Tap the analog stick to the right or left on the gamecube controller.
-->, -->, -->, -->, -->

You have to make sure you don't tilt the stick, otherwise you'll slide and waste time.
Just keep tapping toward the direction you want to go to.

I'm surprised I didn't see this move anywhere else. It's perfect for Luigi's combos and great to make/break space between you and your opponent. And Luigi has such great friction with the floor, so he moves great distances with this.

I wish I could show you guys a replay of this, but apparently you can't transfer replays to computer and play them.
Also, this can be done with other characters. It's preferable on the characters who have similar friction against the ground as Luigi.

Well, I just compared it to running in training mode.
When I run, it's similar speed but you get an awful lag time near the end.
...Unless you shield cancel, but it's tough to get back into play and continue to combo.

When you're doing the 'chaindash' .. it should be , you shouldn't be getting the lag slide that you get from running.

It may just seem as fast because it creates dust (like wavedash in melee).
There must be some use for this... I usually do it to continue combo'ing.

It's called foxtrottig, it was found in the Melee era, it works for all characters.

Someones Sig said:
Unless you main hackz then you just suck at brawl
So I guess that's why I suck at brawl.

Well, that is not really true Crewster, If you don't have Homebrew all you are missing out on is no tripping and infinite replays.
But if that kind of thing does bother you I suggest getting Homebrew
