since luigi is not under the character match ups, how do i approach/defend against a luigi player? They float to much and are very hard to combo.

Lasers, Dair, and Bair. Luigi's are hard to combo yes, because of his ridiculously slow falling speed. You just have to remember he's going to out prioritize you in virtually every from. Shine -> Bair/Dair is a good finishing combo against Luigi. I'm not sure about going for low ceiling kills with shines on stages like Yoshi's Story, I don't really play against any good Luigi's.

laser spamming for the win.. Luigi will be forced to jump.. at that point intercept whatever he does using SHL and do an attack, for example SHL + ANA on his full jump + ANA: SHL will hit him and stun him, while ANA will **** him right after. Comboing Luigi is possible however it's quite hard, expecially if you lack experience against him.. usually platforms help a lot and always remember of the shine kills on Yoshi Story. If you really can't manage to combo Luigi really hard just toss him in the air using your shine, use Bair/Uair rather than Dair and then land and wait for him to land too. Use the SHL + attack thing when he's landing in order to screw him again. Don't approach Luigi that often.. he might be able to shield grab you if you do mistakes or just get away because of his low traction. Watch out for his ground game and try to find counters to the different things he'll pull out at you. Edgeguarding is really evil against Luigi so take advantage of it as much as possible. Luigi isn't a really happy match up but by keeping him guessing and not messing up Falco definitely wins this. I only have one video of me VS Luigi and it's rather old too..

Watch Silent Wolf Vs Ka Master and find a new character to use

I say that you just need to learn your match-ups by experience. I find that a solid wall of lasers and fairs/dairs can hold off a luigi for only so long. Learn some killer mindgames too. Also, watch out for WD->Grabs when facing a luigi, it will result in doomination

Lol.. Laser spamming isn't as good as people think against Luigi.. atleast if the Luigi is patient. I played a Falco that tried to do that.. he lost.

Falco can approach with lasers, but don't depend on them. Pillaring with full hops work for a bit. I like using Fsmash on Luigi. If you hit their shield, Luigi will slide back quite a way. You might be in risk of playing a Luigi that can wavedash out of a shield, so it isn't too reliable, but nice anyhow.

tell me what Luigi can do in order to stop Falco from just spamming lasers, and anyway yes, if Luigi is good enough he will just shield your Fsmash and then Wdash out of shield into grab/Fsmash.

Luigi can let you hit him til he gets the chance to grab/ftilt/dsmash. It works usually, though not many people will do it. So laser spamming is still a decent tactic vs. Luigi is you're cautious.
If Luigi lands a grab, be prepared for some crazy DI.

Hitting Luigi with the verryy tip of your feet with Fsmash will give you just enough time to avoid being wavegrabbed.

Umm... no
>_>

Let's get Ka Master in here

and laser spamming does work, you just need to know the limit of your own abilities and how to space yourself properly.

Yeah... Laser spamming shouldn't be your primary tactic when you're fighting Luigi. Sure it works, but what good will it do you? Luigi gets very easy combos and kills on Falco, and laser spamming won't help as much as people think.

God, lasers interupt wavedashing right? so shouldn't they help keep away wave grabbing and waveattacks pretty good.
