In an earlier post i mentioned my brother has discovered pit, who i believe to be abit broken. But no one is unbeatable.

If anyone can offer any advice concerning pits weaknesses and obvious things that luigi can exploit in Pits game, it would be great appreciated:chuckle:

It would help if you could say what you have trouble with. just gimp him by hitting him out of his Up b and cancel out his arrows with Nairs or Dairs.

The fact that Pit is a perfect wait for Luigi to consistently combo, I find Pit too easy. Dodge arrows, gimp recovery, abuse weight.

my problems are:

My brother is good. Pits upsmash, nair and dair are basically lagless. This means that he is able to negate any air superiority i have. I am probably complaining too much, i have been used to fighting link and have plenty of lag time to exploit, but even when i air dodge is up smash, he is able to roll away before i can react. And when i air dodge his nairs and dairs, i lose the ability to combo him in the air and fall to the ground, and Pit has luigi beat in ground game

Ok here's how to combat Pit's:

At the start of the match a Pit user usually starts spamming arrows, just use Luigi's crouch and get close to the Pit user while evading his arrows. Second once you have approached stay at a distance that his attacks will miss, as soon as you get close to a Pit he usually Fsmashes or AAA or A infinite so if you are at a relative distance you should not have been hit. Next don't try to get a Pit user in the air by attacking through the air, attack him on the ground with a smash, grab or your choice to get him in the air, once the Pit is in the air abuse him, your aerials out prioritize Pit's and because of his weight combo-ing him will be a cinch. Hope this helps.

Yeah, what the guy above me said. Luigi's down b tornado will usually cancel Pit's arrows and Luigi's aerials have at least the same priority if not more. And it is quite easy to edgeguard and gimp him.

I was gonna say, I'm pretty sure that luigi has equal or higher priority in the air (and probably ground) than pit with most if not all his attacks. The only thing that might affect this is pit's disjointed hit box. However, luigi's nair should always win since is has very high priority and the hit box is his entire body (I'm pretty sure). AKA if you both do aerials and your is nair, you should win and follow with addition fair, uair, etc.
