Lucas replacing Ness?

I've been hearing many people on the Lucas threads that Ness is being replaced. Some people say that there is an update on the DOJO saying "There’s a character named Ness who has appeared in the Smash Bros. series up until now, and Lucas is very similar. They are from the same family of PK users." Could this possibly mean that Ness is really gone for good? Still it might mean Ness is still in the game to this point.... *Sigh* I hope he is still with us.
