Lucas PK fire spam

i need help, im trying to play a lucas that pk fire spams me and i cant get close in any way can any1 tell me how to approach

Grenades are probably your best bet. Lucas' PK fire doesn't travel very far so you might even be able to avoid it and mortar slide towards him to close the gap. I'd recommend the 'nades though.

Dash and perfect shield to get close. Or use grenades for long range and lure him closer.

I had a Lucas vs Snake match that lasted almost 7min at Esticle and I was forced to use grenades 80% of the time lol.

PK Fire spam sucks...

My best smash buddy mains Lucas. Its usually close but I always win. He PK Fire Spams as well. Just use the Nades and dont be afraid to gain some distance to drop a Nikita on them. It may not hit them but it lures them towards you or the nades. Ground control is key for this matchup so I shield dropped and lobbed some Nades, planted mines and C4 and cancled Nikita left and right. It will be a long matchup but its safe and effective. Mortar sliding can work but against Lucas and his priority and projectiles it not always ideal. Range is better for this situation.
