Looking to start hacking my copy of brawl. Can I add characters?

Is the clone engine working so I can add characters instead of just replacing them? I would like to add in the Mewtwo, Roy and pichu that was floating around. they were the only ones that were cut that I remember right now.

I do not want to remove any of the old content in the game, just add the characters. I searched clone engine and it said it was not working yet, but that looked somewhat old and I saw on google that people had a working version.

Thanks.

The only current working version of the Clone Engine was designed for Project M use only. It will not work for anything else. The version of Project M including this Clone Engine will be released this winter.

I would also like to tell you that the Clone Engine is very complicated and if you really want to add in characters it will take over 700 hours (this is how long it took the PMBR to make Mewtwo) if you do it yourself. If you really want to play with Roy, Mewtwo, and Dr. Mario, you will have to use Project M. Pichu and Young Link will most likely be featured in later versions.

I am sorry to say that it may be that the Clone Engine will never be ported to work with vbrawl. Also some people have leaks of older versions of the Clone Engine that the PMBR were working on. WHATEVER YOU DO, DO NOT DOWNLOAD THEM. They are unworking versions that will corrupt your game save and may even ruin your disk permanently.

Thanks for the info. that kind of sucks because I like Pokemon Trainer the way he is and I liked many of the changes to the characters movesets made in brawl. I like the Bowser Slam and I like the FluDD move for mario. Project M just seems to be putting everything that was in melee back. It seems like a step back, not forwards.

Yeah, I kinda agree there. The worst part about it is when they take a character that was getting away from being a "clone" and revert him back to being a clone (see: Ganondorf), and totally ignoring the improvements made in Brawl. That already brings up whiffs of elitism, and keeping the clone engine exclusive just reeks of it.

Are you kidding? The PMBR has said that they would love to port it if they could, but it was specifically made with the Project M engine in mind. The Clone Engine has been in development for most likely several years and it would probably take even longer to get it working with Brawl (which lacks the engine improvements made by the PMBR). I really shouldn`t have said it will never be ported, but don`t expect it to be ported anytime soon.

I saw a clone engine on brawl vault once, but it wasn't nearly as good as the PMBR's. If u want I can give u the link (if i can find it).

^ That's 100 clone characters right there. Downside: 10 second delay, maybe.
