I'm trying to find a copy of the Sector Z stage from Smash 64 that does NOT use the ship from Corneria, instead with the original style textures and size. Has anyone come across this stage?

Yes, this is great! But seeing as it was last updated in 2010, I don't think that it will have the right camera for Project M 3.02

Libertyernie uses a version of Sector Z in his Classic Expansion Pack with the Project M 3.02 camera. Fortunately, I happen to use it for my build of Project M, so you can download it right here:

It goes over Corneria by default. I also included SSS stuff, as well as RELs that can let it go over any stage you want, with the option of having Arwings or no Arwings. Because I love you guys.:happysheep:

Heres how to change the camera of any stage to the P:M camera:

  • Download the stage you wish to port and have the Project M 3.0 counterpart ready.
  • Open the Project M 3.0 stage in Brawlbox. Expand ARC 2. Scroll down until you see STPM data.
  • Right above that (or in some cases a large amount above that), you should find ModelData[100]. Open that up to find StagePosition (or named similarly...sometimes stgposition). Right click on that and Export as well.
  • Now close the PM 3.0 stage file, and open up the 2.6b stage texture. Expand ARC 2 and scroll down to the same place.
  • Right click on STPM and click "Replace". Choose the STPM data you extracted.
  • Do the same for ModelData[100]'s StagePosition
  • Save, and you're done.
  • You can also use Ctrl+E and Ctrl+R to Export and Replace respectively.

Sadly, even the retextured version isn't perfect. It uses a resized model from Corneria, so while it may have the correct size, the proportions are off. This is most noticeable when one examines the dorsal fin, which is stupidly steep.

I tried fixing that by stretching the model horizontally while shrinking it verically, but it made the area by the bay door and main exhaust port far too long.

One day though, the mighty m22k will turn his sights to this gem of the smash series and we will have the true sector Z 64.

Sector Z is out. You can find the regular Sector Z (bigger than Corneria in size) in 2 different sizes here.

In case you want it to be the same size as Corneria (and wifi-safe with it), get it from here instead.
