So I want to be good at smash bros but at the moment I'm completely awful x3

I started playing competitively when the 3ds version came out and I've pretty much made no progress at all xD I still don't have a main or even a slight idea of which characters I like. I struggle to win pretty much any match >.< so my loss count is definitely way above my win count lol.

I have been trying to like read guides and stuff but I usually struggle to understand what's being said. At the moment I have fun no matter how badly I get stomped but I really worry that the people who I like playing against find our games boring because I'm so absolutely awful xD so I would like to be at least somewhat decent so that it's more fun for people to play against me o3o

so yeah in other words I'm trying to practice so that I can get better x3

^You want that thread.

I suggest you just keep playing. Watch other people play. Figure out your bad habits, like do you roll a lot, and try to stop them. And don't worry about people not enjoying playing against you because you are at a low level. Pretty much everyone starts at this level and it can still be fun for a higher skilled opponent to fight a lower skilled one.

My bad habit was using the CStick too much. Luckily I found some new controls that sort of disable me to do anything but I can still find a way to win. It's hard to explain but I like my new win-loss ratio. If you side smash too much, this is a great solution imo..

Classic Controller
R - Jump
Zr - Attack
L - Shield
Zl - Grab
ABXY - Special

It takes some getting used to but I managed to accustom.

I'm going to lock this because it doesn't belong in this board, but anytime you can contact me and plays bit if you want (3ds tho, I don't have a Wii U just yet).
