I recently started playing melee with some friends over dolphin netplay. It works fine, my only problem is sometimes when I grab people the game instantly down throws them. Even if I am holding the analog stick up, they are thrown down as soon as I grab them. This last for 5-10 grabs in a row then goes away, and it happens every other game. I am using and Xbox 360 controller (tried multiple controllers) and have calibrated the analog stick, but the problem still persist. Anyone having this problem? Any fixes?

bruh you need to calibrate that ****. Also use a gamecube controller if you are trying to learn AT"s.
It also might have to do with your deadzone and stick radius settings... Make sure your deadzones are around 10-15 and radii are set to 100.
Other than that, I agree with AirFair. You really shouldn't be using anything but a GC controller to practice Melee.
