I have no friends (who play smash competitively) and as such, I am seeking out people to play with in person in order for us to further our skills in smash. Though I don't mean to sound rude, people looking to play casually will only waste my time... just kidding. Ill play casuals for fun if you want, but I really am just looking for a practice partner to take to the sky and beyond, in terms of playing level.

As the title, I am looking for people in san francisco to play with, though anyone around the bay area is welcome. I just live in san francisco and would rather nobody have to be saddled with the chore of moving accross cities in order to play a game for the sake of such a selfish request as mine. While I do live in san francisco and play smash and am posting a request ad here for playing smash, I AM aware that there is such a thing as The Foundry, but, if you can already guess, I am too young to go. Poor me. But I'm not a child (you sickos out there are in for a surprise.) I'm 19 and a college student.

All I want is to simply be more involved in the competitive scene while holding my own in some big tournaments (LA calls out to me.) Details will be awarded to those who message me, but please do post in the thread so that the public is aware of you, and that the thread isn't overloaded (though I doubt that this thread will recieve much traffic).

Is this type of thread ok to post?

Yeah, also consider joining a Facebook social group or two. It's honestly the best way to stay in touch with your local community.

Thanks for the idea. I did so per that new idea's bidding, but I intended for the post to help me find a long-term practice partner who can expect me to be willing to practice with them as much as I would expect that of them. No doubt, in the process we would end up becoming friends, go to tourneys together, meet each other at grand finals for singles, team up in doubles, and refer to each other as static doubles partners, no matter how badly we might hold to other back in teams. and fall in love?

I'm a romantic at heart... and a bit dramatic.
