Looking for a controller.

So Nintendo will be releasing official GameCube controllers again. As nice as they were and it will be to have one again in new condition I'm looking to see what else is out there (3rd party or official) that will ideally work with the Wii U GameCube controller adapter.

I'm very fond of the overall feel of the Xbox 360 controller. It's a nice weight to it, it's ergonomic, nice resistance to the buttons and sticks and I prefer the trigger/shoulder buttons to the GameCube ones.

I'm trying to research and find a few candidates for 3rd party controllers I might buy but I'm having a difficult time trying to find something. Any suggestions for brands or places online with controllers that might be suitable?

I don't have the controller, far from it, its just too light for my tastes these days. Same with the Wii U Pro.

I tend to agree as the 360 controller is also my personal favorite. I find the wavebird to be a good weight compromise... Too bad they're not making new ones of those.
