Your coin does have a strange texture. It looks like it's contained in a petri dish but yet still has holes punctured in it so that any bugs or frogs in it could breathe.

They are only sending it through mail in Canada because they knew there was going to be a delay, so they gave out forms for the first 35 people

I was one of the first to pre-order Smash 3DS at a Best-Buy that is over 30 min from my house. The clerk didn't really know much about the promotion despite being in a pre-order specific line, and said it was first 35 people to pick it up on release day. But I got it anyway because another cashier said the first person were wrong. I really want that shiny Smash coin. I will be really dissapointed if I have to drive all the way out there and back after work and something goes wrong and prevents me from getting my trinket.

I preordered the 3DS game to get the coin but I was afraid that each version would have a different coin. I didn't wanna be selfish and take 2 coins if they both ended up being the same. The other people around me were preordering both versions so that they could get "the two different coins", sucks that alot of people won't get coins if these people get 2.
