First off, hello guys! Just joined Smashboards and I hope that I'll have a good time here :)

I have a request. Could you go to
System Settings > Data Management > Software > Super Smash Bros Ultimate
and tell me where your update data & downloadable content is stored?

I want to know if these files are everywhere stored like this or only on my Switch:
> System memory: Update data (2,1 GB)
> microSD card: Downloadable content (5,6 MB)

Why am I interested in this?
Short answer: Preserving SSBU patches & additional content.
Long answer (warning! low effort video): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C1ArxtVNDhg

Also, here's some info regarding why my SSBU files might be stored the way they are:
- Bought Switch & SSBU (no microSD card) on SSBU launch day
- Put the game cartridge in my Switch
- Downloaded 1.1.0 Update
- Played SSBU
- A day later: Bought microSD Card & then inserted it

This may be a very small and oddly specific question, but I would really appreciate your help!
Thanks in advance! :)

Hello! Welcome! Yea I think it happens when you just insert the SD Card in after you played it so that means it won't instantly transfer in

Thanks for the quick reply!
Yeah, this wouldn't be a bummer if you could move the files, but sadly you can't :(
Funny how the Wii handeled this much better.
