Well, I was just thinking... which Nintendo characters have basically died over the years? They brought back Pit... so why not Little Mac? The main character from the Punch-Out!! series?

He's the little white guy, for those of you who don't know. A rookie boxer who takes on huge screen-filling brutes. He last appeared as a cameo in Fight Night: Round 2, but hasn't had a starring role for a while.

Being a boxer, I saw him as pretty original. He'd have punch-based moves, of course.

Moveset?

A- Left jab, right jab, simultaneously
Up A- Uppercut
Down A- Kidney punch

Smash:
A- Right punch
Up A- Super uppercut (jumps and uppercuts, helps you get back onto the platform)
Down A- Rapid jab (lots of punches at a time)

Air:
Down A- Body slam

Special:
B- Charge punch (like DK's)
Up B- Backforce (like SSBM Ganondorf's Up+B move)
Down B- Quake fist (sends out shockwaves)

Grab:
A- Jab
Forward- Right cross
Backward- Spin-cross
Up- Uppercut
Down- Elbow

Super Smash Attack:
K.O. - Super hard punch which sends enemy flying

Taunt:
Does a 'boxer dance'.

So whaddaya think?

There are already two different Little Mac threads: One for the NES version (which is the same as the one you posted), the other one is for the SNES version (presumed by many to be the remake of Little Mac).

Sorry! Anyway, most people have probably forgotten about those two threads, anyway. Also, I searched first... but it's not exactly Google, is it?

In the jawn, with the jawn.
Not only did you forget about the side attacks(you even forgot about over B) but some moves on your moveset don't make sense for little Mac's charachter.Your up B for instance, instead f a copied CaptainFalcon/Gannon move use something from the Punch Out series like his Jumping Uppercut.(kind of like a shoryukenn).Oh and instead of the body slam how about a downwards thrusting punch.

Because I coudn't find the NES Little Mac thread on a Search, I am Declaring this the NES Little Mac thread, and linking it in the index as such.

I think he should have a long range attack like this.

B> Air Punch: He would hold his fist back and jad in front of him and a transparent force that looks like a boxing glove triple the size of his regular fist. slow and strong at first and later goes faster and weaker.

And yeah I think I had seen one of these.

Little Mac has two distinct advantages over pretty much all other retro characters.

1. His game was actually good.
2. He beat Mike Tyson when Tyson was still in his prime.

you didnt see the 2 official little mac threads, odd...
I clicked on the Little Mac link in the official character index thread and it took me here. So apparently this is the official Little Mac topic.

Noooo, there are already two Little Mac topics with quite a lot of posts in them already. One's the SNES Mac thread (which currently is still on the first page), the other of which is on the second or so page for NES Mac. I don't know why the search isn't cooperating, but if both of them aren't already on the index, they should be.

They are both on the index, and the NES one takes you here.

Little Mac must be in the game!!! I actually dont care much about the characters, but i would really like to see Little Mac in it. I would also like Simon Belmont, but being third party makes it less likely, let alone Crono, whom i would LOVE to be included

i dont really want little mac in brawl. I loved the nes game, but i think that a character that can punch and thats it will get really boring in a bout a minute
Mmmm... for ur nick, i assume u use C.Falcon... a racer.... a character that can drive and thats it.... is it boring?? no, neither is any character, why? because no matter where they come from, they are given a big moveset, so, if Nintendo put a bunch of non fighting characters and throw them into a kick *** fighting game, i guess theyll have no problem including a character that actually fights, dont u think so?

Yes chrono capt. does only race but because of that the developers were able to make up a darn good moveset with him. But with mac the developers don't have anything they can do other then have him do various punches. And as i said before, a character that can punch and thats it WILL BE BORING AND REPETITIVE! theres my reasoning

Ya, and guess what, your reasoning is completely backwards.

Marth and Roy can only hit people with his sword. Mac makes a lot more sense than many character suggestions. Since he's one of the few Nintendo characters who... y'know... is a competitive fighter... Just make up some crazy cool punches for him, and voila.

You say "alls hee can du iz paunch" but guess what? It's not that hard to make those punches behave in cool ways and have different effects.

Little Mac would be the Ice Climbers of SSBB, and as a fan of Punch Out!! I think he would be a welcome addition to the team. But his moves are just about all punches, right?

Anyway, I think he deserves his own Wii boxing game... *drool*

Isn't there already a Little Mac thread? Two at that? Anyways, all he can do is punch, and though I love the game, and the character, I just feel that he doesn't bring anything to the table. And being a retro doesn't help at all. The Ice Climbers, G&W, Ness, and Pit were all unique, and made the roster more diverse. Mac is just another brawler with only one defining move.

How funny that you support a deconfirmed character. Do you like Tom nook? by any chance?

Now that he is a AT is this needed at all? I wonder if everyone knows now.

Jeez I hate it when everyone supports a deconfirmed character. They get in denial and such.

But it's a shame I wanted him to be playable..... Well at least he is in as a AT.
