Little Mac: You all seem to want him, now lets talk realistically.

Little Mac

He can punch and he's little. His last game came out in 2009, which had a notable lack of one impossibly large and strong Mike Tyson.

He can obviously be translated to smash pretty well, considering he's from a fighting (ish) game and has already appeared in Brawl as an assist trophy. I find him to be pretty boring personally (I would MUCH rather see some surprise Mike Tyson boss in single player despite ridiculousness) and take the case of being passed over once for playability as a potential sign that Sakurai doesn't thing he is worthy enough for the roster. However, I am not everyone and I am fully aware that YOU ALL LOOOOOOOOOVE HIM!

And that's fine. But why are so many of you guys pulling for him to get in? Do you think Sakurai's comments on bringing back retro characters puts him in the spotlight? Are the quite a few closet Punch Out fans out there? Or are we just trying to fill the new roster spots with characters that make sense?

Again, not hating on the fact that everyone loves him, just opening up this thread for conversation.

I didn't check your join date, but you must not've been here very long.

There's already a Little Mac thread, as noted above.

In addition, "Has already passed him up once" applies to every single character in brawl that COULD have been in Melee. (Wolf was referenced in Melee's intro. Dedede, Diddy and MK were absent.)

Why not ask what people like about him *in* the Little Mac thread?

Punch-Out is an iconic series, Mac is its flagship character, with help from his coach, Doc Louis, and the series is lacking representation in Smash. Mac is pretty much guaranteed to make an appearance in some form (He did, in Brawl), most likely as a playable character, with assets taken from Punch-Out Wii.

I don't think much else needs to happen, here...
