So I started playing LC today and I've been getting decimated by Meowths and Elekids. I changed my team a tad bit but I'm still very unsure of it's effectiveness (since I'm still learning LC), hence this RMT. Normally I would post this on smogon first, but I don't think I have written enough "BS" for them to not lock my thread (excluding Buizel, I just got lazy for that one).

Drifloon (M) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Unburden
EVs: 168 Atk/88 Spd/252 SAtk
Mild nature (+SAtk, -Def)
- Explosion
- Shadow Ball
- Hidden Power [Fighting]
- Hypnosis

The purpose of this is mainly to not get destroyed by Meowth. Assuming if Meowth stays in and Bites, I'll hypnosis during that and proceed with HP Fighting. If hypnosis misses, I'll either do another (because of the boost from Unburden + Focus Sash) or explode.

---

Machop (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: No Guard
EVs: 252 HP/252 Atk/4 Spd
Adament nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Dynamicpunch
- SleepTalk
- Rest
- Payback

Since I know nothing about LC, I'm fearful of numerous stat inducers that can easily cripple my team. Because of that, I decided to go with a RestTalk set for one of my pokemon. I eventually came down to Machop, seeing how it has decent bulk and cause ridiculous damage. No Gaurd STAB DP is annoying w/ Machamp in OU, so I can only assume it works great in LC too.
---

Riolu (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Inner Focus
EVs: 4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Bite
- Hi Jump Kick
- Swords Dance
- Quick Attack

Seeing how I transformed a normal OU set into a LC one, I got excited and looked to see what else could be pulled off. Seeing how Luke is a beast late game sweeper in OU, I decided to mimic a typical SD Luke set to Riolu. This used to be a DD Larvitar set, but I was never able to actually pull off the sweep. SD Riolu has more power, naturally faster, carries a priority move, and better coverage when compared to my former DD Tar.

---

Buizel (M) @ Choice Band
Ability: Swift Swim
EVs: 4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Ice Punch
- Brick Break
- Return
- Waterfall

I wanted another physical hitter, except with even more speed and different coverage.

---

Gligar (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Sand Veil
EVs: 252 HP/40 Def/216 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Earthquake
- Taunt
- Stealth Rock
- Roost

Fast, bulky, and carries taunt. Once again, I'm not sure of many of the dangers out there in OU LC, but having something as supportive as this seems to be very essential to a LCnewbie such as myself. I'm not completely sure of the usefulness of SR in LC, so I'm considering to replace SR with U-Turn. This set helps me with any team that seems to be too defensive while simply having a defensive sponge in general.
---

Abra (M) @ Choice Specs
Ability: Synchronize
EVs: 4 HP/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Psychic
- Shadow Ball
- Trick
- Hidden Power [Fire]

When considering how poorly defensive a decent number of pokemon are, I decided to find a sweeper that would simply wreak havoc right off the bat. Seeing how Abra has some pretty crazy SpAtk and Spd for a LC pokemon, I decided it would be a great choice. Stab Psychic with CS boost should annihilate anything that doesn't resist it. Because of that, I have Shadow Ball and HP Fire to cover whatever should. Trick is for crippling something that would further cause a great deal of pain to Abra.

NEW

Realized no one on smashboards plays LC, so I went I had supermarth64 over my house,... he showed me the ways.

Bronzor @ Oran Berry
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 Atk/228 Def/252 SDef
Relaxed nature (+Def, -Spd)
- Stealth Rock
- Reflect
- Earthquake
- Gyro Ball
---

Buizel (F) @ Life Orb
Ability: Swift Swim
EVs: 236 Atk/236 Spd/36 SDef
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Bulk Up
- Aqua Jet
- Return
- Waterfall
---

Abra (F) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Synchronize
EVs: 200 Spd/240 SAtk
Modest nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Psychic
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Signal Beam
- Energy Ball
---

Gligar (F) @ Oran Berry
Ability: Sand Veil
EVs: 236 Atk/236 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Swords Dance
- Rock Slide
- Earthquake
- Quick Attack
---

Chinchou (F) @ Oran Berry
Ability: Volt Absorb
EVs: 156 HP/52 Def/60 Spd/228 SDef
Calm nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Surf
- Thunder Wave
- Thunderbolt
- Confuse Ray
---

Misdreavus (F) @ Oran Berry
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 240 Spd/240 SAtk
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Calm Mind
- Substitute
- Hidden Power [Fighting]
- Shadow Ball
---

Doug's Create a Pokemon Server, though not many people play.

IVs still matter when you set the HP IVs to 0 for LO users so they take 1 HP recoil instead of 2 (19 HP instead of 20+)

I don't get little cup...

Why wouldn't somebody just toss choice scarf on a smeargle and make it use dragon rage over and over? It outspeeds everything in OU and KOs everything except chansey and blissey.

Sample:

Smeargle @ Choice Scarf
Timid/ Own Tempo
252 DEF/4 SP.DEF/252 Speed
-Dragon Rage

Maxed defense helps it easily survive priority attacks, then it kills everything with Dragon Rage.

1) Dragon Rage is banned. (So is Sonicboom)
2) Little Cup Pokemon must be able to evolve (no Smeargle, Legendaries)
3) They must be hatched from an egg.
4) Level 5 maximum (although everyone uses level 5).
