Lip's Stick effect on character

Is it possible to make a character have an effect similar to Lip's Stick effect on itself? Like, getting continually damaged but without the flower thing appearing on it's head.

There is an event called "Add damage" in psa. It works like any other event.

Damage goes red but stays at 0%, googled for a solution and I just didn't get it, feels like I'm doing it right.

Set it to scalar, not value.
