In the Subspace Emissary, most of, if not the entire game replaces the usual Smash arenas based on Nintendo games (And now 3rd party) with full original large scale platforming levels. Upon completion of the level, you can replay it on the game's map screen and try to beat your score or beat it "100%" (What ever that means). It's unknown if you can replay these levels as any character you want, I'd think so but it seems like you must play each level with the character who plays on it in the story. Here's (Part of, I hope) the map screen of selectable levels in the Subspace Emissary.
From what I can see, when Mario gets shot by Petey Piranha in the first cutscene, he gets shot up into the sky into Skyworld, which is more than likely his first level. He also probably meets Pit there, since there are screens of Mario and Pit traversing together. Not to mention screens of Pit in Skyworld.
That is probably Skyworld. We've also seen a number of other levels, including a grass one, a jungle, a cave, a desert, etc.
There seems to be a wide variety of levels in the Subspace Emissary, I look foward to seeing more.
