I don't know if this is worthy of a thread or if it will just be moved to the stage thread, feel free mods to do that if you don't think this should be it's own thread.

Lets get started, it's very likely that there will be DLC stages, we are getting a DLC Miiverse stage which is pretty much Battlefield just with different textures, but I don't think the Miiverse stage will be the only DLC stage.

From what we know now, in the Wii U version, Mr. Game & Watch, Earthbound/Mother, F-Zero, and R.O.B don't get a nee stage (unless you count Wrecking Crew to be R.O.B's stage.

Now for Earthbound/Mother and F-Zero, it would be easy to just bring Magicant and Mute City from the 3DS version and not make new stages for them.

As for Mr. Game & Watch, Flat Zone 3, is very possible.

Also, If there is no 2nd new Zelda stage, then I see a new Wind Waker stage happening, because currently Toon Link is homeless.

Thoughts?

A stage I wouldn't mind seeing is either a moving stage or a super large stage that takes parts from the Great Maze from Brawl. That'd be a fun little nod.

That took way longer to make than you think.
Also, don't use Pixlr ladies and gentlemen.

A Wind Waker travelling stage? It could be like an upgraded version of the Wind Waker Stage from Brawl. Where you ride on the boat, but then instead of crashing into a rock, the boat docks at different islands.

...ok, serious time, I think maybe there could be a Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask stage for DLC. Probably the Clock Tower? Maybe the "peaceful" hill with the tree in the center that's inside the moon? Maybe the fight with Skull Kid? Maybe a traveling stage that goes around Termina?

Maybe just some past stages (N64 and Melee please) could be DLC.

After we find out the Wii U list, I think this thread might be more useful. We might be asking for something that already exists.

I hope for more, though.

I agree with you completely OP.
It's weird that Earthbound and F-Zero don't get a new stage on the Wii U version. Magicant and Mute City would be perfect.
Game & Watch doesn't have a new stage in either the Wii U or 3DS version, so a brand new stage such as Flat Zone 3 would be perfect.
The only stage I can think of for R.O.B. is Gyromite inspired. Although I can see how Wrecking Crew took its place.
And no Wind Waker stage is strange. 3DS had two Zelda stages, one to compliment regular Link and one to compliment Toon Link. I would love for a newer Pirate Ship stage, or Dragon Roost Island.

I'm not sure how many brand new stages we will see, but I hope we get a lot of returning stages.
  • Hyrule Castle (64)
  • Safron City (64)
  • Planet Zebes (64)
  • Fountain of Dreams (Melee)
  • Corneria (Melee)
  • Big Blue (Melee)
  • Fourside (Melee)
  • Poke Floats (Melee)
  • Rainbow Cruise (Melee)
  • Distant Planet (Brawl)
  • WarioWare, Inc (Brawl)
  • Pirate Ship (Brawl)
  • Summit (Brawl)
  • Balloon Fight (3DS)
  • Paper Mario (3DS)

They could also do returning stage packs, like 3-4 N64 stages, 3-4 Melee stages, etc. But as for new stages they could do ones to advertise new games, even ones we know nothing about right now (so if there's like a brand new F-Zero game coming out in 2016 we could get stage based off it around its release date as a sort of promotion).

I'm really liking the idea of DLC stages in this game, it'll help keep the game fresher longer than it would have been without.

Fountain of Dreams.

Literally all I want.

And maybe Meta Crystal from 64.

Onett, Great bay, Rainbow cruise, Icicle mountain, Fountain of dreams, and finally Big Blue. I had fun with all of these. I would gladly pay to see them on 3ds and wii u again in better quality.

I wouldn't buy any stages unless they are viable or an 8 player smash stage. Gimmicky stages aren't my cup of tea.

Meta crystal: That's a good one.
If you're being sarcastic, it's pointless using Battlefield for both Metal and Fighting "Generic" Teams. Especially when the original Metal character has his own course. It should come back, and replace every Metal fight with it(besides Event Matches). Notably, it doesn't have walk-offs, which generally takes away the challenge, yet is very high in the air, which makes recovering difficult for the Metal character with enough work. It's an interesting course and one of the better ones from 64.

Plus, since Battlefield is the Polygon Cave remade(it's the same course and used for the same types of characters even), I felt like it was a huge waste to make it the main go-to for Metal characters. Why couldn't they at least get their own unique course again? Meta Crystal was a simple, yet well-designed course. Even making it available for VS mode would've been nice too. It's a very viable stage that doesn't have too many platforms, and having a somewhat slanted field in places keeps the projectile users from being nearly as powerful(in some cases) and creates a more interesting fight. Smash 4 doesn't have the most viable stages right now. Just like the major issues with Brawl. When it comes to the point that people are picking courses that generally could kill you as neutrals because the list is so small for viability, it might be going a bit overboard. And I find almost every course in the 3DS version fairly reasonable, but come on. It could clearly be better. Without Omega Mode(which is not a viable solution in any way. Final Destination is barely even a neutral at this point, it favors projectile users way too much. I'm waiting for the day it goes to being a counterpick. Since it's not actually balanced).

Well, this is a long shot, but here I go anyways

Expert Level (Monkey Ball)

The stage is a "traveling" stage, inspired by Dream Land GB and Delfino Plaza. There are five sets of nine (eight in the first set) floors, and three of the floors in the current set will be randomly picked for the stage to go through. These sets correspond with floors in the original game.
The sets consist of:
1. Floors 1-4 and 5-9
2. Floors 11-19
3. Floors 21-29
4. Floors 31-39
5. Floors 41-50

After the chosen three floors of a set are done, the stage will briefly transition to one of the bonus floors (5, 10, 20, 30, 40). Depending on which bonus floor is chosen, the stage will then pick the corresponding set of floors (5 will go to Set 1, 10 to 2, 20 to 3, 30 to 4, 40 to 5)

The stage will always start on Floor 1.

Music
Monkey Ball (The music changes depending on what set the stage is using. The "Hurry Up" music will play when only 10 seconds remain on the clock.)
Monkey Race 2 Beginner (Super Monkey Ball 2)
Monkey Minigolf (Super Monkey Ball)
Wet N' Windy (Super Monkey Ball Touch & Roll)
Monkey Fight (Super Monkey Ball)
Monkey Dogfight (Super Monkey Ball 2)

I was not being sarcastic: I think it would be a fun addition. Though I think there are some more unique n64 stages to be added: Why not the original Peaches Castle? In many ways it's the first smash stage ever.

On a different note, this probably won't happen, but I think a genius idea would be the Water Temple fromZelda OOT. It's rather infamous, brings attention to a modern game (OOT 3ds), and would work really well. It would be a huge 8-player stage with 3 different vertical layers, and overtime/by hitting certain switches the water level will fall or rise, making the are smaller or larger.

The Water Temple is my second favorite one in OOT, and I don't mean the remake or Master Quest either. I'm okay with this, although I want Great Bay back more. >_>

And sorry, wasn't sure. No smiley or anything. None the less, I think all 64 stages should return.

Yeah, if they included a DLC with every one of them that'd be great. I feel like there are so few that that'd be doable. I'd pay 5 bucks for that.

I just want Magicant back. I love Onett and it's music, but it looks so ugly in this game, like they made no effort in updating it like they did w/ Temple.
