Let's have an Adventure

Seeing as cutscenes have been disconfirmed, it's fair to assume the narrative Adventure won't return. As bland as you may have thought Subspace Emissary was (dear god, was it bland), it's still a shame we won't get to see the characters interact in any other way than punching and kicking. Instead, there's a big chance they'll use Melee's model and have a bunch of stages. If they do that, I do hope a degree of randomized set pieces will be added, or instead, a bunch of adventures to pick from. Mindlessly copying Melee's adventure model would show very outdated design.

What do you hope will come out of 4's Adventure Mode? What would you theme it on? Even if cutscenes have been disconfirmed, are there any small character arches or interactions you'd love to see?

What I want is a different melee length adventure mode for each character. I also want for each character (not franchise) to have a different boss at the end.

Lets take Sonic for example:
It would take roughly 20 min to complete. He would run around attacking enemies based on his franchise. Maybe he would do a side scrolling city escape or green hill zone type level. After each level he would go somewhere different in the sonic universe, and once he does all the levels he makes it to the boss at the end, eggman in one of his robots. He would beat the boss, and you would get a trophy of sonic at the end.

Once you beat his story mode, you can then do his story mode as any other character you have unlocked.

A different storyline for each character would be nice.

Perhaps some of the stories could be connected to other stories as well.

I'd like it to be like Melee's, but with more actual stages to travel through instead of just 4 traveling stages thrown in between a ton of standard fights. It'd also be cool if there were branching paths that would take you to different Nintendo worlds, which could work kind of like the ones in the first 2 Star Fox games. Every character should have a unique beginning and ending cutscene as well, since Sakurai said there will still be cutscenes. They just won't tell a big story.

Each character or each franchise?
I'd probably draw the max line at 9 adventures of 11 levels, 1 bossfight and 3 regular fights included.

Also, I've always had this idea in the back of my mind that Sonic and Pikachu would make for an amazing team-up for some reason.

I personally don't care for a story mode, but I wouldn't mind a Melee Adventure Mode. Call me crazy, but I liked Melee's Adventure Mode more than the Subspace Emissary.

I want a good story, I want there to be a reason for all these characters to be in the same universe, and I want the characters to be more or less true to themselves in what they do and say.

I didn't mind Subspace, but since we aren't getting it, I hope it's done similar to Melee's but with different bosses depending on the which franchise the character is from. So say you pic Mario, Bowser is the last boss. You pick Bowser, Mario is the last boss etc...

Each character, though realistically I suppose one storyline for each franchise is more reasonable.

Maybe each character takes an alternate path through all the stages, similar to the likes of games like Street Fighter.
