DJ-Hotwings
Smash Rookie
DJ-Hotwings, newbie Smasher and Sonic/Falcon/Roy player.
I entered competitive Smash 4 for the sheer purpose of wanting to see if I can't join the Halls of Hype and making a splash as a new player. I'd love to one day call myself a Smash God, but that day is far away right now.
Anyway, I'm just starting to grasp the advanced concepts and movements. I always enjoy watching Disrespect/Hype montage videos because I always knew that if I practiced a bit more, I'd be fully able to do even better. Plus, Smash Bros is one of my favorite video game franchises. One thing I dream of is just being able to call myself "Amazing" at Smash. And while it is unlikely, it'd be a dream come true if D1 ever commentated one of my matches.
TL;DR, I'm a newbie who wants to break out of the For Glory Cycle and take the first steps into the Halls of Hype. I know I can do it, I just have so much farther to go...
Anyway, as for my skill level, I'd say at best I'm a Rising Beginner. I still make some noob plays and some really stupid moments tend to occur from my mistakes, but I know if I polish things a bit more I could unlock some of that potential. Great at comboing and juggling, bad at avoiding and blocking. Occasionally make good hard reads, but again, still pretty far from greatness.
The best summation of my skill is this match I had in FG the other day, before I learned how to use Sonic's D-Air spike.
Anyway, glad to finally have gotten the guts to join Smashboards, hopefully this place can help me become that much better at a game I love playing and one day end up winning a tournament.
