Left Stick Issue (Not Drift)

So I recently bought a PowerA wireless GC style controller for smash and my left stick feels like there is a lot of resistance and it appears to be sunken into the controller a bit. I compared it to my wired GC controller (Nintendo switch brand) and it’s definitely different. Anyone else experience this? Is this just how the PowerA is by default or is mine messed up?

It’s still totally playable just way less fluid to use the stick. It feels noticeably slow. Anyway, thanks for taking the time to read this.
