Ledge Teching?

Do i need to SDI into the ledge when i ledge tech? I have been able to tech mines and hitbox from Marth's F-smash with just DIing in the wall.

I have such a hard time with it lol. What F Smash and Falco's dair? (assuming I'm hugging the wall)

For most moves you only need to DI in. For falco's dair and some tilts, you should dual stick DI into the stage so you at least get one frame of SDI.
