Ledge Shine UpB Stall

Recently I've lost the ability to perfectly run off the ledge --> Shine turnaround --> UpB magnet. When I started practicing Falco, I was able to consistently do it around 100 times in a row. But now after playing around in PM and with Melee Marth, it seems I can't do it anymore. I always either Illusion under the stage, hold shine and fall even though I'm inputting UpB, or the Fire bird activates above the ledge. Is there a trick to doing this tech consistently?

I don't really think there is a trick for this, but I have found that using the control stick to jump out of the shine makes this much easier. Other than that just keep practicing it and you will be able to do it reliably again.

You could also laser hug or just run off and side B to the edge.
