So, I guess I should start by saying I didn't get into my Amiibos until very recently, at least not from a development stand point. I have a few (Ones I have are

) and spent the past couple of days just having fun with them.
I did notice, however that the amiibos taught me a bit on how I played smash. After all, amiibos will take on traits from the player, and what I found was kind of interesting.
For starters, i found that I like to D-throw a lot. My amiibos are pretty big on grabbing, with the exception of one or two, and when they do grab, they're pretty efficient with it. During development, the amiibos would begin grab and then D-throw, but now that the majority are max level, they're a bit better with it, even doing some decent follow ups.
Also, I learn that
is pretty beastly. In big group matches, the guy has been undefeated, and in one on one matches utilises his Aura well (though that might be from general Amiibo stat boosts.)
I have learned that amiibos are amazing at filling you with a sense of pride. For example, during the early stages of
training, I was primarily using side specials as a form of recovery rather than up specials. I did this because in many, if not all fights against a level 9 CPU
, he never did so, favouring his up special and simply letting himself fall. After a while the routine stuck, and now he's using his side special to recover more when it's horizontal distance that needs to be covered.
Also, he's damn good with his counter now, I have no idea how that came about.
At the moment, I have an experiment going on with how to train these things.
The first lot of

I put into a constant 8 player smash session with myself, and towards the end other CPUs. Sometimes it would be free-for-all, but most times it was them vs me, then me and a bunch of CPUs, and then finally varying teams before the FFA.
The next two
I only introduced them to that, with the other Amiibo, at level 25. The first 25 levels, I had them in a 3 player match: them, myself as a different character, one I would usually play and be good with, and then a level 9 CPU duplicate of the amiibo. This was an experiment to see if I could take regular Level 9 tactics and then tweak them with the human touch, as it were.
Then next lot (likely

) will have all 50 levels done this way, and any more Amiibo I will get will be purely 1 on 1.
What about you guys? Have you learned anythign from your Amiibos about them or yourself that you weren't aware of before?
