After a while of practicing with many characters, I realized that I wasn't learning very much from switching so often. I want to know if it's a good idea to learn Fox since he seems to help people get the hang of harder tech and has a lot of tech which some of can be used with other characters. I also enjoy playing Fox. Do you think learning Fox would help in the long run, even if I switch to another character, or should I keep playing different characters while learning things at a slower pace. I really need help on this one! Thanks! :kirby:

Easy answer. If you enjoy playing Fox, learn Fox. That's it. The tight tech window will help you out.
I love to play Fox but I'm not very good at him. I even practiced a lot and didn't seem to get better!
Should I keep trying anyways? I just don't want to screw up

Only you can know who you want to main, but just because you don't see improvement and still like the character doesn't mean you should quit him. Fox is a perfectly viable character and if you like him the best out of the whole cast and think you can thrive while playing him, he should be your main.

Screwing up when choosing a main is picking someone that you don't enjoy playing as. Keep in mind that as intense and competitive Melee gets, it's still a game and games are supposed to be fun (unless you're a mobile developer; then the games are just supposed to include enough in-app purchases to empty your wallet quicker than you can say "No thank you.").
