Hey guys, I've been wondering about this for a while. Does the flower indicate that the pikmin are stronger than the ones with leaves on their head? I haven't seen a difference yet, but maybe somebody has. Please respond.

It doesn't make any difference, strength or defense. And just a friendly reminder, there are FAQs all over this Olimar forum, and if you think your question would have been asked already then it most likely has been. Alot of people here are nitpickers, so when they play a character, they observe every little thing. So it's very likely that most of your questions will already have answers.

Throughout a battle, your Pikmin will evolve from leaf, bud, to flower. You can test this by standing idly in training mode. Don't do anything. Just watch your Pikmin, and you will see that they will slowly change over time.

These changes in Pikmin animations do not affect anything. They merely show how long you've had your Pikmin for.
