Launcher problems

I downloaded 3.6(homebrew) off of the project mirror website, and I set it up, but when I try to launch it, the launcher menu just gives me a message saying that the launcher version is 1.12, but the project m version is 3.6. I don't understand how to deal with this, and any help would be wonderful
