Well this does tell us an Earthbound character will appear. And Ness has appeared in the last two games. And unlike Lucas, Ness isn't a coward, in fact he's couragous! Not to mention his game wasn't constantly cancelled in previous years.

I think Ness will definitely reappear in this game. The real question is who else will appear? Jeff, Paula, or Poo?

sorry, but not only does the franklin badge also appear in mother 3.....

but it also uses it's design from mother 3 as well. especially since it has that giant "MOTHER" written on it. so yeah, more of a chance that mother 3 characters will appear!!!!! :D

y'know, characters like lucas, clause and flint. I'll find their respecatble threads in a moment.
(plus, if they do include M3 characters in SSBB, that would increase the chances of M3 being released outside of japan!!!! :D )

Sorry to rain on your parade but the origins of the Franklin Badge are as early as Mother (the original).
The one given out with Mother 3 is a reprint.

lol, yeah right, confirm an item of no character...its not smash created item, its an item that has been on a game, so the case the character(s) will be there.

Wasn't Mother 3 cancelled numerous times? And then it ended up being Japan only, right?

Yeah, that sounds like it really turned out great. Lets just keep Ness in. At least everyone has a chance to play his game. Besides if we have Ness we can have the chance to add in Paula, Jeff, or Poo. Putting in Lucas might mess things up, he might be by himself. But Ness is a veteren, so its only fair if he gets another member on his team.
