Largest fighting game community?

I was wondering earlier if Smash had the largest competitive community, if you included all the games. I wouldn't know how to measure this (forum membership? tourney attendance?), but do any of the other games (SF, GG, any of the vs games) come close?

I know that GG doesn't come close to how huge some Smash tournaments have been.

Here in Alberta, the melee community is still the biggest. Not too sure with the rest of the world though. =/

3rd Strike has tons of people still entering the bigger tournies.
It's quite impressive, especially considering its age.
