LAN adapter problems

So for the past couple of days I have been using that EDH LAN adapter that you can purchase on Amazon and haven't had any problems. Last night I played for glory matches for hours and everything was fine. Today I wake up and my wii u does not recognize it is there even though everything is connected properly and my internet is on, has anyone else had this occur to them? Is my adapter shotty or what's happening ?
