I thought I was tripping balls, but I did Firefox on the ground and when angled correctly it has NO LAG!!! I don't know the exact angle, but I want to say its a 20 degree Firefox. The move has 0 lag at the end. OBVIOUSLY Because of how viable this technique will be, and how it has the ability to surpass even the viability of the Flamedash, I'll take the honor in naming this technique and calling this the Flareblitz

That's not a special tech. Firefox just has very little landing lag.

And I actually screwed it up once in the video when doing the firefox to the right. When Fox lands on the groundyou can see how long it takes for shield to pop back up. Its just when doing that particular angle makes Firefox have no landing lag at all so the ones going to the left, the shield pops up instantly.

On another note, the title was a joke :x But this is an interesting discovery and can change how we recover with Firefox considering that if it ends at a particular angle and at a particular height from the ground it'll make it lagless.

I think it's just simply using Firefox, and then landing. Similar with side+b... if you use it on the ground, there's a lot of ending lag, but if you short hop, then immediately side+b, there's no lag. This can lead into utilts.

But if you watch the video, the Firefox displayed has no landing lag at all when performed at the right angle. None. If its just Firefox and then landing, then Fox will land on the ground and do the animation where he has his arms out, and he lands on the ground. In the beginning of the video I was recovering from a Firefox and land on the ground as normal to show the lag. The first Firefox I did was the right angle to perform the lagless version showing how fast the shield pops up. The 2nd one was a failed one showing that the amount of lag that was on the end of Firefox which is similar to Firefox if its just performed horizontally. The 3rd one was then performed correctly as the shield popped up fairly quickly. Also JC Illusion is alright.

yup i see RPK you are right. There are 4 firefox moves done in the video. the 1st is basically showing you Fox's animation after hitting the ground while the rest shows what happens after you hit the ground than shield. 2nd and 4th are done properly and the 3rd is the failed one. in the 3rd one its hard to see but fox hits the ground and does an animation that he is recovering from the fall of the firefox. in the 2nd and 4th there is no animation he hits the ground and goes straight into shield.
