One of the best things about the DS is that Nintendo seems to be using it to try new things. Nintendogs, Trace Memory, Elite Beat Agents, Electroplankton...this seems to be the largest number of new games and series Nintendo has made in quite a while. And that brings us to today's idea...
Meet Kyle Hyde, the main character of Hotel Dusk: Room 215, a film noir-inspired game coming out for the DS in November (apparently). From Wikipedia:
The game takes place in Los Angeles during the year 1979. The player (as Kyle Hyde) must solve the mystery of Room 215 through completing various puzzles with the use of the touchscreen.
Yeah, he's hardboiled detective, so what? What makes him worthy of Brawl?
Well, errr...I can't say. Haven't played the game yet. And even if I had, I doubt I'd find a real good reason why Kyle, from a single DS game that likely won't get much of an audience, should get into the game. As I stated in the title, I'm just throwing the idea out(thus getting us closer to having a thread devoted to every Nintendo character ever).
Personally, I think if his game ends up being good, he could make an interesting character. Especially if they decide to make him black-and-white like he is in the game, with his alternate colors being tinted. That would just look neat.
Talk now.
