The key is that the second video isn't chronologically after the first. They must have changed it between E3 and E for All.

It's either that or:

1. Hammer tilt and smash exist

2. Before he uses hammer horizontally, he dashes before he jumps, maybe it's different if u dash before u jump (like some powers in the old game)

but most likely its changed since E3

well in 06 the game they were working was susceptible to change so they must have changed the hammer from 06 to 08!

The more recent video is probably correct, and thank goodness, it was absolutely awful in the last game. Looks like a viable aerial attack now.

You forgot to see it at the commercial as well. He swing faster than Melee. His hammer in the air better be both horizontal and vertical though.

It was easily Kirby's strongest finisher and could kill at fairly low percents (often well under 100% if the ceiling wasn't very high).

well theoretically his fully charged sweetspotted upsmash has more vertical knockback than his hammer, and his brawl hammer is also significantly shorter, which should mean no stupid sweetspot (hopefully if they learned anything about small range and stupid sweetspots not going together. Kirby's upsmash anyone?)

He now swings at about the same speed as his F-smash maybe? It also looks like the hammer has less range too.

By the way, I noticed that kirby's hammerwas different too.
