No idea if this was discovered before.
Just an accident, I tried to redo it with Falcon's hat and Yoshi's Hats but it doesn't work. Only with Jigglypuff's Hat.

Probably less about the Puff hat modifying Kirby's physical aspects and more about the properties of Pound, unless one is able to do it without the Pound beforehand. Or maybe that's what you meant and I misunderstood, because it was sort of vague.

Really nice discovery. Have definitely never heard of or seen this. I love random discoveries like this.
