Kirby gets powers from sucking up items?

Ive heard it about it before, but want to know if their is any info. Please (yes ive used the search bar) but did not find anything relying on this topic, please help.

All I've heard is that Kirby allegedly can inhale a Fire Flower and gain something similar to Bowser's Fire Breath temporarily.

It would just be cool to add that feature to kirby, poor thing has not been to noticed, for gods sakes...Sakarui created Kirby....Why,
