Fulgore for SSB4!
LOL, fulgure would be waaaay more broken than any other character in SSB history. He was already cheap as hell in KIG. Next to Glacious >_>

I ***** this game

I was so bored that back in the day I memorized like every ~60%+ combo for like every character cuz I was bored, and could do Glacius' 0-death on the ludicrous speed setting

did you know if you let Gargos sit in the air flying, and leave the game on for like an hour or something, he raises in the air REALLY high? This is even more noticable using gameshark codes for super speed and even super slow. Weird glitches lol

KI gold looked SO glitchy... juggling on Ultra combos were messed up.

I played the original on SNES. that one was wicked.

If here was an establish tier list, Fulgore and Jago would be on the top of that list.

IF you had Fulgore face off with Ryu, Fulgore would destroy Ryu.

Looked glitchy, t'wasn't though, The game mechanics were better in gold i'm afraid. Top of the tier list would indeed be fulgore, then glacius, then jago.

what makes glacius so good?

I would have said spinal to be next with the teleporting, long reach with sword and quick as balls combos.

I would have thought Glacius would be B-Tier material for his speed.

Wait, it's because he packs a punch right? I just remembered he does a lot of damage with one hit.

liquidize and uppercut *****

or random cold shoulder

into super artic slam repeat like 2 more times or so

KOs or almost KOs

i think the 0-death was starting with a artic slam, then cold shoulder, then A.slam, then C.S., then A slam, and maybe something else i forget a juggle or something idk been too long

and i just played with the settings with a full red bar always so i could do the long combos whenever i wanted

i never really played people but i knew a ton about that game

I'm not going to challenge that statement but: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3lBYMq8BNS0

It'd be fun though, seeing Ryu in the KI environment.

Fun game. I don't remember too much from it and I only ever played it badly but I remember having a blast with it.

I don't know a thing about KI gold because I've never played it, but the most you can do after an ultra in KI SNES was using a juggle, Plus, Ultra's were only used as a finishing move which was automatic which suggests it'll do the rest for you, no need for player input anymore. It just bugged me that you can throw in another ultra after another, until 80 hits or whatever it was.

when you do an ultra combo after a regular combo, you have to chain the ultra combo with a autodouble to perform another one, but if you just do the ultra combo once, its only like 10 hits, maybe less. The key to getting close to 90 hits (that's the cut off point, the game will only read to 90 hits but you can actually do more) is performing manual combos linked with autodouble after autodouble, the ultra combo can be mashed into all of the combo mess.

I think that this is the best fighting game ever. And if you didn't know, "c-c-c-combo breaker" audio was taken from this game.
Personally I think Super Smash Bros. is the better Nintendo 64 fighting game. :)

Here’s a picture of my complete copy of Killer Instinct Gold. By the way, I also own a complete Killer Instinct for the SNES.

KIG isn’t a bad game but its missing lots of frames of animation when compared to the arcade version which was called Killer Instinct 2. Also the graphics are pretty muddy at times especially during close-ups of the characters themselves. The worst part and the reason why I didn’t play the game as much as I had wished is the control. The N64 pad simply isn’t designed for this type of game and makes it a chore to get all the combos to flow smoothly. However with a 6-button pad or a proper arcade stick I’m sure that wouldn’t be such an issue.

the N64 pad was one of the worse designed pads I ever used in my life.

I will give it respect IF it was the first controller with an analog stick.

Overall I really like the Nintendo 64 controller. The only thing that really wears out on them is the analog stick. Most are getting so old now, however, that it’s getting harder and harder to find good ones nowadays. Fortunately the GameCube controller is pretty nice too, in my extremely humble opinion.

the 360 controller looks like it was strictly meant for FPS tbh. an analog for primary navigation, diamond layout for quick access to Y and B? (left and bottom) and the triggers, they were named triggers "Left Trigger" and "Right Trigger" and function roughly the same way as a trigger on a gun.

Exactly, that is why Xbox's launch game was Gears of War. The controllers work wonderfully with FPS games, just the d-pad sucks. fighting games that require actions like street fighter should just be for the ps3, and FPS games should just be made for the 360 because i had a very hard time playing Cod on that system.

i dont have a problem with the analog stick that far low. I mean if your right thumb can do it, then why can't your left?

jk, i just like the feel of the controller better, i could never **** the way i do with xbox controllers with a ps3, just feels too weird (what if melee or brawl was on the ps3?)

-this is kind of getting off topic XD

Don't worry about it xd I have these GC to ps adapters and I played SSB on a dualshock. it's different because it's a fighting game, so quick moves are needed, and I personally dont like an analog stick for that, being put that low. I mean in FPS it's not as bad because the most you do is hold a direction which is a breeze to do. Played God of war where kratos get jumped and you have to shake of the goons by flickingthe left analog stick back and forth? that's a pain in the butt to do quickly.

Since I never gave Killer Instinct Gold its propers when it was first released I decided to go back and give it another try. Now I can’t stop playing it! Maybe it’s because classic fighting games have become so popular but I really like the depth that KIG has to offer. Watch this video to get a taste of how intense this game can be.
