Wow, I had totally forgotten about the KLK OVA. It came out almost two months ago. So thanks for reminding me. >_>
I finished the episode a good ten minutes ago. Indeed, it was a strong cherry-on-top episode. They revisited all the great KLK cornerstones, tied up the remaining loose ends left in the series finale, and gave a more fitting "graduation" of the series as a whole, which the finale didn't do. I think it's fair to consider this the true series finale, since it's a canon continuation of the series.
