So the majority of songs for Melee were orchestrated, whereas the majority of these seem to be MIDI. I'm a bit disappointed that Nintendo is saying that they will fully orchestrate games such as with Twilight Princess and decide not to in the end.

I think you're missing the point. This thread isn't to talk about the new Brawl update. It's to show off his skills at extending pieces of music, and I think he's done very well in that respect. It makes me like this music even more.

Wow, way to be a jerk obsidian.

As for the music... I hear ya on the MIDI thing. The worst of it all is that the Brawl MIDIs so far sound worse than Melee's! Something tells me that these might be "demo" tracks, and we'll get orchestrated versions in the final game.

MIDI? Really? I think most of the songs sound orchestrated, the only ones that don't are Ridley's Theme and, to some degree, Yoshi's Story and the OoT Medley.

This song really did remind me of the underworld in kid Icarus lol. they should make a new Kid Icarus game for the wii, 2 is just not enough.

I'd rather play a DS game with the classic side-scrolling. I've seen great games get ruined by 2d to 3d. I know that Nintendo is hands down the best company at the 2d to 3d movement (Mario 64, OoT), but I'd rather them play it safe

Dude a DS game would be fantastic. Even if it was just a remake of the original with 3d graphics on a 2d plane (Smash style)
