Man, I knew he was good, especially after my time in Super Metroid... but after Prime and Echoes.. WOW, he is TOO good.

My god is it good though. Most every other Nintendo game I've played hasn't done it this good even. Even Zelda doesn't do it this good, and that series probably has most of my favorite soundtracks right there.

Now I won't go out and say most of these songs just don't "fit in" with what's going on or whatever, because most Zelda songs do. Pretty much every Zelda song does, but Kenji is the only vg musician I've seen so far that takes it to the next level. Whenever I was in Phendrana Drifts for instance, I could just turn off all the sound effects, listen to the music and just FEEL cold from listening to it. Everything about it just fits in with what's going on and more. I really can't even say much more about it.. you'd just have to listen to some of his tracks for yourself x.x

I'm not even sure why I'm making this blog anymore. I was just rockin out to Jungle music from Super Metroid and I guess I wanted to go ahead and share some of his music with anyone who hasn't gotten the chance to hear it yet I guess. yeah inb4 cool story bro I guess x.x. This blog thing deserves it.

derherp, think i'm just gonna link some of my favorites i guess, also not sure in metroid prime stuff which he worked on. i know he had some help in the games or something like that:

I know exactly what you mean, Yoshi Island was the first game with a soundtrack I noticed, remembered, liked, and adored, but the music of Metroid Prime was the first I fell in love with.

Yeah, he does some great tunes for some great games. I have to agree, I'm pretty sure he was also the one that did the excellent, atmosphere-crafting OST of Majora's Mask.

oh wow, this would be amazing. i only know what i see on wiki but i can sort of see a resemblance in the majoras mask ost when it comes to his other works. also pretty much my second favorite zelda in terms of music so i wouldn't be surprised.
