Now I know there are no discussion of roms and where to obtain them and stuff but I would just like to make a thread on games other than SSB. Before you close this thread, I would like to wonder why you have let the SSB64 Kaillera threads live but nothing about other games on Kaillera. I am posting this in a forum that is supposed to be general for all games...

I have seen what happened in that debate thread earlier and I want to help SWF experience other 2D fighters and expand their knowledge of fighting games but if posts about other games end up getting closed/deleted this dream won't have a chance to even begin!

The problem being addressed here is the fact that any talk of Kaillera that doesn't have to do with SSB64 gets deleted. I don't get why they are getting deleted because they are just posted to help out. Allowing only posts about SSB64 won't help this community grow and this is what we need to help out this community.

What? 2D fighters other than SSB? UNPOSSIBLE! But seriously, i used to play alot of SSB64, but it was kind of dumb so i quit (i won't even go into it). I'm still very interested in that kind of thing though, so... since this thread is here and all, maybe someone could suggest me some good online 2d fighters other than SSB64? I have a friend that plays MK3 online all the time. I have to admit it looks kind of fun, extremely unbalanced with lots of silly infinites and such, but still very interesting.

Note: i'm never said anything about downloading ROMs

I started looking into Melty Blood after watching KDJ play on youtube. http://youtube.com/watch?v=N_WmjZcLRJ0

I used to play a lot of Street Fighter (2 I believe) with my friends, but none of us were very good. We could only do the most basic combos. Evo2k is sparking my interest in fighting games again.

just so long as we get an answer as to why ssb64 is the only emulated game you get to talk about here (it's not like it's any more legal than street fighter or whatever, come on folks) i'll be happy

anyway i'm all over kof98/02, hit me up on aim sometime (don't ask me to play street fighter or other 5/6-button games right now, i'll need to replace my aging stick before i can get back to playing those again since some buttons on it are dying which would pose a problem for those games)

I just started playing Melty Blood today. It's going to be one of the main games I play. Going to use Satsuki(Upper-Mid) and Aoko(Probably Low). Hit me up on Aim if you want to game online. There's an online patch for it.

And Pdk, KoF later!

There's no discussion of roms in the Light House because it's a Light House rule. Zootematix wrote the rules years ago, I've amended them a few times and the rom rule still stands. Don't ask me why discussion of SSB64 roms are allowed elsewhere, but they aren't in the Light House.
