Just how bad is EventHubs?

I always hear about how garbage of a tier list EventHubs has, and I'm wonder, how bad is it? While it has some major outliers (Diddy Kong, Pac-Man, and Duck Hunt are all definitely too low, Rosalina is too high, etc.) it mostly seems to have a general list. Additionally, where do they get their tiers from? Is it hard data from tournaments, or is it just community-made?

The EventHubs tier lists are bad because they're decided by a vote. As in, "most people voted that Diddy is best so he's #1" which is exactly the wrong way to make a tier list. It's very vulnerable to flavor-of-the-month rankings and the like.

More like flavor-of-the-day. The eventhubs list is ridiculously variable. It's a popularity contest and what's hip and what's not changes constantly.
