Sadly, yes.
If you're going for 100% at least you can beat All-Star Hard with the default characters for the challenge instead of fighting every character.

Master/Crazy Orders is also pretty good for getting customs/music from my experience. If you want trophies and customs you can also do Trophy Rush with Heavenly Light Palutena (this strat is better with two players).
Edit: Sorry about your data...Nintendo made a really stupid decision by not allowing data transfer from Wii U to Wii U.
