well im finally able to get some good money to buy a recorder and i really want some matches and maybe even a combo vid of some sort on the web. so i buy a dazzle dvd recorder the red one for like 50 bucks. its audio is horrible and like it wouldn't work half the time. i returned it, chipped in 40 more dollars and bought the silver platinum plus one

now i have a few problems. sometimes the audio cuts and skips and lags way behind the actual video.

the recorder puts the files as like .ifo files instead of something like avi or mp4 to upload.

the pinnacle studio 12 program wont let me record off the dazzle. what settings hsould i have?

ill edit this cuz i have soo much more questions. thanks a bunch. hopefully i finally get all this right and start editing movies and smash scenes cuz i really like it.

I have the red Dazzle and it works fine. I use Windows Movie Maker to record though, it's just easier. If it lags, there's a chance your comp might be slow, so check how much memory it uses. Also, you can always move the sound timeline up a bit to match the video.

I will say this though, mine was a ***** to install. I don't even use the Pinnacle programs, just WMM and Adobe Premiere Pro.

You realize you don't have to

WIth Dazzle there is the VoB file which is actually the movie file.

This program converts your VOB files to AVI very quickly and the filesize is so short you don't even need to edit it in windows movie maker at all. just convert and upload. Here's a video i did just today using dazzle's dvd option and Any video converter

Dazzle of course is 50 bucks
Any video converter isn't the full version but for what you need it for it the converting which is ironincally free so it works out perfectly and i'm telling you this is a very good combo. Try it out

u know what i had to do. i wish i saw ur post first lol.

i got a thing that combines my vob files, then i got a really cool looking thing that makes my vob files into avi files so i can upload to jootube

now thats only on my vids that the dazzle actually recorded right and the sound came out right. the rest i still need to convert so i can cover the crappy audio and edit it out and put a song in...
